Bluebird Golf Program

The Bluebird Golf Program is a 10-week summer training program designed to prepare athletes for the Vermont Special Olympics Golf Tournament on September 20, 2026.

Open to athletes with intellectual disabilities ages 8 and older, the Bluebird Golf Program provides participants with the opportunity to learn and develop golf skills in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment. Athletes will receive instruction from dedicated coaches and volunteers while developing golf fundamentals, sportsmanship, teamwork, confidence, and course etiquette.

Training sessions are held weekly and focus on all aspects of the game, including driving, chipping, putting, course management, and on-course play. Athletes of all skill levels are welcome.

Participants will train for the various Special Olympics golf competition formats, including:

• Individual Skills Competition

• 9-Hole Individual Play

• 9-Hole Alternate Shot Team Play

• 18-Hole Individual Play

• 18-Hole Alternate Shot Team Play

Through a scholarship fund established in memory of a dedicated volunteer, participation in the Bluebird Golf Program is offered at no cost to athletes and their families.

Important Information

• Open to athletes with intellectual disabilities ages 8 and older

• Athletes of all skill levels are welcome

• Participants are expected to provide their own golf equipment when possible

• Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow coaches and volunteers will provide instruction and support throughout the season

• Participants interested in competing at the Vermont Special Olympics Golf Tournament must participate in an organized training program

Special Olympics Participation

Athletes interested in competing at the Vermont Special Olympics Golf Tournament on September 20, 2026 must complete the required Special Olympics Vermont Athlete Registration paperwork.

Please contact Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow for registration forms and additional information.

Participants should be available to attend the Vermont Special Olympics Golf Tournament at Basin Harbor Resort in Vergennes, Vermont.

Important Registration Information

• Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee participation in this program

• Due to limited space and volunteer availability, all registration requests will be reviewed by the ASMS staff team

• If we are able to accommodate your request, you will receive a confirmation email with additional program details

• Participants should not consider themselves registered until they have received an official confirmation from Adaptive Sports at Mount Snow staff
